Promoting Collaborations without “Research Colonialism”

For too long collaborative research partnerships have been plagued by “research colonialism”. The brightest minds at the top institutes in the developing world can do more cutting edge research but are often held down by the research priorities of the “North”. We are working to combat this problem and ‘fill in the gaps’ with partnerships around the world that can conduct the research that is a priority for them.

Partnership goes to the heart of research excellence and innovation. Fair research and innovation partnerships are essential for socio-economic and sustainable development.

We examine how governments, national research and innovation agencies, academic and research institutions/organizations, business, organizations and funders take measures to create fair partnerships in research and innovation that are trusting, lasting, transparent and more effective; and how they will plan toward improvement in key areas.

Let’s look together at best practices in research & innovation collaborations, which help partners to build transparent governance systems for better social benefit, health, global learning and sustainable development worldwide.
